Since the explosion on the Deepwater Horizon occurred, there have been 4 fundraisers in Washington D.C. held by BP. When do the fundraisers start for the families and businesses suffering along the Gulf coast? When do the fundraisers start for the people and non profit groups trying to preserve the delicate ecology there?

this is why you are meeting with so much apathy. we have become accustomed to this government supporting the oil companies, bankers, and such moneyed empresarios while ignoring the laws and regulations that we have in place to supposedly keep these tragedies from occurring.
ReplyDeleteYes, sadly true, Elena. And it didn't just start with the current POTUSA and his administration. Decades of corruption and unchecked greed have brought us to this. Only being free of oil dependence will fix it.
